Job Description

1. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum that support children's growth and development in all areas, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language.
2. Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages positive interactions among children.
3. Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and families, fostering open communication and collaboration.
4. Observe and assess children's progress and developmental milestones, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records of each child's growth.
5. Provide individualized support and guidance to meet the unique needs and interests of each child, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities.
6. Support children's language development through storytelling, conversations, and other language-rich experiences.
7. Promote positive behavior management strategies and encourage children to develop self-regulation skills and conflict resolution strategies.
8. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom, following established protocols and procedures.
9. Collaborate with fellow educators and specialists to plan and implement interdisciplinary activities and learning experiences.
10. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices, stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, and promote continuous improvement.

Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
2. Teaching certification or licensure for early childhood education preferred.
3. Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
4. Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching practices.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
6. Creativity and enthusiasm for designing engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
7. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
8. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children and respond effectively to changing circumstances in the classroom.
9. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
10. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development as an early childhood educator.
