Senior Financial Controller

Our reputable construction firm is expanding its horizons by launching a branch in Saudi Arabia following a significant contract acquisition. This new establishment aims to manage the current project effectively and secure additional construction endeavors, marking our strategic entry into the Saudi Arabian market.

Location:

Saudi Arabia – Metropolitan area of Riyad

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the budget of the ongoing project, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance.
• Oversee the financial administration of the Saudi entity, ensuring adherence to local legal and financial regulations.
• Establish and maintain a robust financial monitoring system in Saudi Arabia in alignment with the region's legal requisites.
• Get quickly familiarized with the legal, tax, and financial regulations in Saudi Arabia to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
• Coordinate seamlessly with our accounting service provider at our headquarters, ensuring a smooth flow of financial information between the Saudi entity and HQ.
• Serve as our finance primary point of contact in Saudi Arabia, maintaining a clear overview of our regional operations.
• Take charge of various initial operational tasks, such as setting up bank accounts for the entity.

Requirements:

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial controlling of project management.
• Thorough understanding of VAT implications and -management and foreign tax legislation.
• Good understanding of essential legal requirements in client- and vendor-based agreements.
• Well-versed with the financial controlling of Projects in construction or similar industries and with the financial administration of corporate entities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise between different stakeholders and teams and calmly position the projects’ financial interests despite resistance from other stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new legal and financial regulations, particularly those about Saudi Arabia.
• You have a driver's license for cars.
• Embrace the pioneer spirit by adapting to a flexible yet demanding environment, demonstrating high problem-solving skills, and managing stress effectively.

Should Have:

• Experience setting up new operations or branches, ideally internationally.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.
• Capability to work independently, making crucial decisions when necessary.
• Proficiency in Oracle 12.3 EBS
• Ability to create professional presentations with PowerPoint.

Nice to Have:

• Master’s degree in finance or business administration.
• Experience in Procore Project Management Software
• Proficiency in Arabic
• Experience within the construction sector.
• You can independently work with Microsoft Forms and Power Automate

Salary Package:

• A monthly salary
• The specific salary package depends on your skills and experience
