Careers at Ain Society

Ain Society is a social service agency registered with the Registry of Societies since Oct 2000, with an IPC status. We are affiliated to the National Council of Social Service.

Our Medical Advisor is Professor Fatimah Lateef (former Member of Parliament for Marine Parade GRC), Senior Consultant, Director of Undergraduate Training and Education as well as Director of Clinical Service and Quality at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Singapore General Hospital.

Since its establishment in 2000, Ain Society has made a significant impact, positively affecting the lives of over 45,000 individuals through a range of developmental, remedial, and rehabilitative programs. In our years of providing social service, we found that many of our clients are either cancer patients or have family members afflicted with cancer. It is alarming to note that from 2017-2021 an average of 46 people were diagnosed with cancer and 16 people died of cancer every day, and it is the leading cause of death in Singapore.

Presently, the organization's primary focus lies in providing support to individuals and families affected by cancer, irrespective of their race or religion. This assistance encompasses moral, emotional, social, and financial aid. Two dedicated centers are operational for this purpose: one at Blk 2 Eunos Crescent, catering to children with cancer (Young Heroes Cancer Care), and another at Blk 9 Haig Road, catering to adults with cancer (Serenity Cancer Care).

Recognizing the unique needs of adolescents and young adults (AYA) diagnosed with cancer, Ain Society has recently initiated the Adolescents and Young Adult (AYA) program. This progam aims to bridge the gap for this specific age group, who fall between being too mature for the children's center and too young for the adult cancer center. Prior to this initiative, no agency had addressed the niche requirements of this clientele. In response to this gap, the organization is expanding its services at the current center located at Blk 2 Eunos Crescent, specifically for the AYA program.
