Accounts Manager

The Company

With global presence in strategic locations and extensive network in the market, this is a dominant player within the maritime industry. Due to business expansion, we are actively hiring for a Finance Manager to be based in the Singapore office.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working in a large team, you will be reviewing monthly and quarterly corporate reporting and consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and group policies, overseeing statutory and tax compliance requirements including coordination of the annual audit process, timely delivery of audit schedules, and review of tax computations/filings (corporate income tax, GST group reporting and transfer pricing). Review and monitor revenue and ship management fee billing process. This includes assessment of billing drivers, allocation and contractual alignment with governance over completeness and accuracy of billing. Drive implementation readiness and finance process alignment for GST InvoiceNow Requirement with IT and finance team. Support, review and analysis of the Group SG&A cost including budgeting and analysis. Oversight over the financial reporting and control, lead year-end fair value assessment and valuation support for annual audit processes. Lead ad-hoc projects independently with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 7 years of relevant experience within the shipping industry with the later years spent in a supervisory role. We are looking for a technically competent Finance professional with strong understanding of applicable accounting standards, IFRS knowledge and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
