Job Description - Communication Manager



Our client is a global MNC providing a range of engineering, construction and maintenance services. Due to their business growth in APAC, we are partnering with them to look for a Communication Manager APAC, based in Singapore regional office.

The Communication Manager serves as a strategic advisor to the pole’s management and cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance on all communication matters. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing internal and external communication projects within the assigned area, ensuring alignment with corporate communication strategies and supporting in achieving business objectives.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategic Communication Leadership:

  • Drive all internal and external communication initiatives within the assigned area, ensuring alignment and broader communication strategies.

  • Support and adapt local communication strategies to maintain consistency with global projects and brand positioning.

  • Provide guidance and hands-on assistance to countries during rebranding initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and brand consistency.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of digital tools and platforms to enhance communication effectiveness.

  • Manage social media presence and ensure timely, engaging, and brand-compliant messaging.

Project & Quality Management

  • Oversee the production and distribution of the quarterly newsletter to maintain regular and impactful communication.

  • Independently manage multiple communication projects, coordinating with external service providers and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

  • Guarantee uniformity and alignment of presentations across the pole, maintaining compliance with group standards and visual identity guidelines.

Crisis & Corporate Communication

  • Set up crisis management processes in the region.

  • Consolidate and execute key communication directives.

CSR & Brand Engagement

  • Monitor and promote CSR initiatives within the pole, ensuring visibility and alignment with corporate values.

  • Pull and manage main orders to guarantee compliance and consistency in communication materials.

Event & Communication Support

  • Liaise with country teams to understand their communication needs and provide guidance and support.

  • Assist in the organization and promotion of key events and campaigns (e.g., innovation initiatives, graduate programs, onboarding activities), ensuring alignment with group standards and coordination with HR and relevant teams.

Job Complexity

Knowledge and Experience


  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognised top-tier institution, ideally in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in communications, with a strong track record in managing projects and delivering impactful messaging.

  • Highly proficient in digital communication channels, including social media platforms, online engagement strategies, and influencer outreach.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Ability to adapt to diverse stakeholders and provide tailored communication support.

  • Highly organised, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong writing ability with a clear, engaging style suitable for various audiences and channels.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

  • Comfortable working in a multi-country, international environment with sensitivity to cultural differences and global perspectives.
