Director Counterparty Credit Risk - Prime Services

Our client, a leading Global Bank, is looking for a senior credit risk professional to lead its hedge fund counterparty credit coverage from Singapore. This is a senior, visible role partnering closely with Global Markets and Prime Services. It suits someone who can hold their ground on risk while helping the business grow safely but commercially.

What you'll do

1. Lead credit risk coverage of a portfolio of hedge fund counterparties across prime brokerage, OTC derivatives, repo and securities financing.
2. Carry out in-depth credit analysis and due diligence on funds, covering strategy, leverage, liquidity, performance, redemption terms and key-person risk.
3. Recommend and approve credit limits, and shape margin, collateral and documentation terms, including ISDA/CSA, prime brokerage agreements, NAV triggers and termination events.
4. Run stress testing, concentration and wrong-way risk analysis, and escalate early when a fund's risk profile changes.
5. Act as a trusted senior voice to front office and senior management, and support regulatory and internal reviews.

What you'll bring

1. Around 10 or more years in credit or counterparty risk, with direct hands-on coverage of hedge funds in a prime brokerage or prime services environment. This is essential.
2. A strong understanding of margin methodologies, leverage, and the documentation that governs hedge fund relationships.
3. Experience working through market stress events and fund distress situations.
4. Confidence and credibility with senior front-office stakeholders, and clear, concise written credit papers.
5. A relevant degree. CFA or FRM is an advantage.
