As an Engineer, Android at Viki, you will be working on improving our apps. We are currently looking for a passionate and collaborative engineer who’s willing to explore new technologies and excel at existing ones. As part of the team, you will get the chance to work with an amazing team of Android Engineers whose work is featured in various tech blogs and news sites. Our apps are regularly featured in multiple countries around the world as well. In addition, you get the chance to learn about media streaming across multiple platforms (AndroidTV, FireTV, Mobile Apps, Chromecast, and so forth).

Key Requirements Include:

• B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or equivalent.

• 2 - 4 years in building native applications for Android, Android TV and/or Fire TV.

• Experience with Kotlin and Android frameworks (XML layouts, Jetpack Compose).

• Deep understanding of Android development, including multithreading and memory management specific to mobile devices.

• Ability to find innovative ways to increase application efficiency and connectivity, with an emphasis on improving the core user experience.

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to create innovative user interfaces and features, optimized for mobile platforms.

• An interest to explore, investigate and prototype leading-edge concepts.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Video streaming experience.

• Product design experience with focus on user analytics.

• Experience testing frameworks.

• Prior experience working with in-app subscriptions.
