JOB SUMMARY:
The M&E Engineer is responsible for designing, coordinating and supporting the implementation of mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, power distribution, lighting and ELV systems. The role collaborates with architects, structural engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure integrated, compliant and buildable engineering solutions throughout all project stages.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct design, analysis and documentation for HVAC, ACMV, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and ELV systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, equipment schedules and technical documentation.
• Coordinate M&E design requirements with architectural, structural and specialist consultants.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and method statements for compliance with design intent and code requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations for ventilation loads, electrical loads, lighting levels and hydraulic systems.
• Support tender documentation, technical clarifications and costing evaluations.
• Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality, resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with approved drawings.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide engineering recommendations.
• Assist with authority submissions and regulatory compliance (e.g., SCDF, BCA, EMA).
• Monitor and track progress of M&E works and prepare technical reports when required.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to ensure coordinated MEP models and identify clashes.
• Support testing and commissioning activities and verify system performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related fields.
• 2–5+ years of experience in M&E engineering design or building services consulting.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and ELV systems.
• Knowledge of local codes, standards and authority regulations for building services (SG/UAE).
• Proficiency in engineering design software and familiarity with BIM/Revit workflows.
• Strong coordination, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project tasks.
