*Exciting senior mandate for a Head of Performance, Strategy*
Seeking a seasoned leadership individual, to spearhead the Group Retail’s agenda by translating enterprise strategy into executable initiatives, with a strong focus on financial performance optimization such as balance sheet efficiency, and productivity drivers.
Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the group business, to enhance financial performance, optimize capital and balance sheet usage, and ensure coherent, high-impact strategy communication across the retail organization.
Sound expertise in capital markets, balance sheet dynamics, and financial management, combined with strong strategic thinking and executive-level communication capabilities.
Responsibilities
Strategy Communication & Executive Engagement
Own and lead Retail strategy communication, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across senior leadership, business heads, and functional teams.
Design and translate complex financial and strategic concepts for diverse stakeholder groups.
Productivity & Performance Optimization
Lead productivity optimization efforts across Retail functions by identifying structural efficiency opportunities and process re‑engineering initiatives.
Establish performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of strategic and productivity initiatives.
Performance Optimization
Lead and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives that improve profitability, capital efficiency, and long-term balance sheet strength for Group Retail.
Drive financial optimization initiatives across retail, across Revenue enhancement and margin optimization, Cost productivity and operating leverage, Balance sheet and capital efficiency.
Balance Sheet & Capital Management
Provide analytical oversight on Retail balance sheet dynamics, including assets, liabilities, liquidity, and capital implications, ensuring that these are aligned with Group Retail’s Business Objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; MBA or professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CPA, CA) preferred.
Min. 18 years of experience in banking or financial services, with strong exposure tofinancial strategy, performance management, treasury, capital markets, or balance sheet management .
Sound understanding of bank financials, including P&L, balance sheet, capital, liquidity, and funding dynamics.
Strong working knowledge of capital markets and balance sheet optimization, with the ability to engage credibly with Finance, Treasury, and Global Markets teams.
Proven ability in leading enterprise or group-level strategic initiatives with clear financial, productivity, or capital outcomes.
Excellent senior stakeholder management ability, with experience working with senior leadership across the group business.
