Legal Associate in Financial Institutions Practice

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to hire junior Singapore-qualified Associates to join our Financial Institutions Practice in our Singapore office.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a well-established law firm focusing on providing innovative legal solutions for complex legal and regulatory matters for financial institutions.

The team is a pioneer in specialized advisory, transactional and regulatory practices in Singapore and is one of the oldest specialist teams in this area of practice hence you can expect to have exposure to complex projects in a challenging and fast paced environment.

The Role Will Involve

1. Providing bespoke innovative and sophisticated legal solutions for Financial Institutions including crowdfunding, robo-advisory, novel payment solutions, cryptocurrencies, NFTs and digital assets.
2. Providing expertise on the full spectrum of legal issues including business inception to business closure, including business, product and services design and structuring, business conduct regulatory compliance, transaction advice and assistance, project management, legal documentation drafting and negotiation, regulator enforcement, disciplinary actions and default management.
3. Providing legal advice on all aspects of derivatives and structured products.

Key Skills and Experience

1. Singapore qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years post-qualification experience.
2. Experience in financial products and services regulation and documentation work would be a plus.
3. Good grounding in legal knowledge and skills.
4. Possesses initiative, drive, commercial acumen, and works well in a team.
5. Good communication and drafting skills.
