o Business Risks & Sanctions (Vetting) Specialist

Sanctions Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

• Monitor changes in international sanctions regimes and trade restrictions (OFAC, EU, UK, etc.) that could impact the company's operations.
• Conduct in-depth assessments of business relationships (customers, vendors, third parties) to ensure compliance with applicable sanctions and trade laws.
• Comply with sanctions compliance procedures, policies, and guidelines to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to international and local regulations.
• Manage screening tools and systems for sanction list checks, including SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) and other relevant watchlists.
• Provide expert guidance on risk and sanctions issues, escalating concerns as needed to senior management.

Risk Assessment & Management:

• Conduct risk assessments related to potential customers.
• Identify emerging risks to business operations, including geopolitical risks, economic sanctions, and compliance vulnerabilities.
• Inform Business Risk & Sanctions management and relevant business teams on changes to risk factors.
• Deliver regular risk management reporting to the Business Risk & Sanctions management.

Regulatory Monitoring & Reporting:

• Stay up to date with global sanctions developments, trade compliance regulations, and international law.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment between internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit reports on compliance activities, risk incidents, and regulatory inquiries to relevant authorities as required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, operations, and procurement, to integrate sanctions and risk mitigation measures into everyday business processes.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in internal audits and assessments related to sanctions and risk management.
