Assistant Manager, Retail Operations (SG MY)
As Assistant Manager, Retail Operations, SGMY, you will be pivotal in supporting the Director of Retail, SGMY, to elevate retail operational excellence, supporting our store teams to consistently exceed retail KPIs. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement within store operations, directly impacting retail standards, customer experience, and overall performance. Key responsibilities include overseeing store operations to ensure compliance with Sephora standards, implementing loss prevention strategies, and optimizing communication between stores and HQ. The Manager, Retail Operations, ensures consistent execution of policies and processes and adherence to audit requirements across our network across Singapore and Malaysia.

Operational Excellence
- Driving operational excellence initiatives across the retail network to improve store productivity, execution consistency, and customer experience
- Partner with Store Managers and retail leadership teams to continuously improve store operational processes, workforce efficiency, and operational standards
- Monitoring operational compliance and execution standards across stores, ensuring alignment with Sephora policies, operational guidelines, and commercial priorities
- Identifying operational gaps, process inefficiencies, and business risks, and implementing solutions to improve retail effectiveness and operational agility
- Supporting simplification and optimization of retail operational processes to enable store teams to focus more time on customers and selling
Reporting, Analysis, and Business Performance
- Analyzing store operational and commercial performance trends and providing actionable insights and recommendations to retail leadership teams
- Monitoring key retail performance indicators including productivity, operational compliance, customer experience, and operational effectiveness
- Partnering with Retail Director and Store Leaders to identify opportunities that improve conversion, productivity, operational efficiency, and overall store performance
- Supporting business reviews, operational presentations, and retail performance reporting for leadership discussions and strategic decision-making
Retail Projects and Transformation
- Leading and supporting retail operational projects, including new store openings, relocations, renovations, systems implementations, and regional initiatives
- Partnering cross-functionally to ensure operational projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives
- Driving change management and operational adoption for new retail initiatives, systems, tools, and ways of working
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, retail productivity, and store effectiveness
- Overseeing store maintenance planning, operational execution, and budget tracking across the retail network
Customer Experience
- Monitoring customer feedback trends and operational service standards to identify opportunities that enhance the end-to-end customer journey
- Partnering with store leadership teams to ensure operational execution supports a seamless, elevated, and consistent in-store experience
Team Development and Leadership
- Coaching and developing Retail Operations Executive/Senior Executive team members to strengthen operational capabilities and execution standards
- Partnering with Retail Leadership to identify operational training opportunities that improve store effectiveness and operational readiness
- Fostering strong collaboration and alignment between store teams and cross-functional stakeholders
We would love to hear from you if you have…
- Minimum University diploma/degree
- 8+ years of experience in a customer and commercial-focused retail environment (beauty/fashion preferred)
- 5+ years’ work experience in Retail operations role, store management experience is advantageous
- MS Office proficiency (Excel and Power Point proficiency is required)
- Service oriented with great passion for retail industry
- Comprehensive product, retail and industry understanding
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive mindset
- Strong organisation skills with ability to multitask and attention to detail
