Principal Audiologist


(Tengah General and Community Hospital)


Job Description: 



  • Contribute to planning of Audiology services for Tengah General and Community Hospital, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations.

  • Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders in planning of Audiology services.

  • Take an active role in mentoring and coaching junior staff for the purpose of developing and enhancing their careers within the organization.

  • Clinical Competencies:

    • Assess and manage patients referred for audiology independently and implement appropriate treatment plans, applying specialised audiology knowledge and skills.

    • Able to perform at least one specialized audiology services competently and independently: Paediatric Audiology, Electrophysiological assessment, Ear implant management, Vestibular Assessment, Basic Tinnitus Assessment & Management.

    • Document patient clinical assessment in audiology records accurately.



  • Network strategically with healthcare practitioners in NUHS.

  • Comply with clinical and service standards.

  • Assist with administrative duties as tasked


 


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor in Audiology (Honors). A Masters in Audiology and A PhD in Audiology is optional.



  • CCC-A/CCP/CAC/registered/certified audiologist (in other countries or with the Society of Audiology Professionals Singapore) is preferred

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience preferred, preferably within a medical institution or hospital.



  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, quick thinker and an effective problem solver.

  • Ability to prioritise workload, be well organised and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.

  • Possess strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.

  • Team-oriented with a high degree of initiative and independence.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relations with different stakeholders.

  • Proactive attitude and determination to ensure required outcomes are achieved and takes responsibility.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
