About the Role

The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. The Senior Analyst serves as a bridge between the IT organization and business users, combining strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to understand business needs and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. The Senior Analyst will provide end user support to FTI’s financial systems as well as support projects assigned to include integrations/acquisitions. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for the assessment, identification, and functional definition of requirements / solutions to meet FTI’s business needs.

What You’ll Do

• Be a trusted technology partner to business users by managing and resolving support requests for TM1, Datamart, and Unit4 ERP through ServiceNow (SNOW)
• Own the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of the TM1 environment, ensuring the system remains reliable, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
• Investigate and solve complex issues across financial systems, going beyond the immediate issue to understand and address the root cause.
• Use SQL to investigate data and troubleshoot problems, including identifying anomalies, resolving interface errors, and validating reporting and system results.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by working directly with non-technical users to understand their challenges, gather requirements, and determine solutions..
• Contribute to TM1 projects and enhancements, helping improve system functionality, business processes, reporting, and the overall user experience.
• Build deep knowledge of both the technology and the business, becoming a go-to resource who can explain technical issues clearly and help users navigate complex problems.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

• General background in IT, Finance, Economics or Tax
• Resolves complex issues utilizing technology
• Brings wide-ranging technical experience
• May have SME skills in one or more software products
• Solves complex issues where in-depth evaluation of many variable factors
• Exercises technical judgement in the selection of methods, techniques, and criteria for obtaining results
• Performs with general supervision with oversight for judgment, adequacy, and accuracy
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work through complex problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to identify root causes.
• Strong SQL experience, including the ability to query and analyze data across multiple tables and data sources.
• Experience using SQL to investigate anomalies, discrepancies, and unexpected results in reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Experience with planning, analytics, and reporting applications
• Experience supporting ERP systems and related business applications
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and data-related issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across moderately complex and diverse challenges
• Sound judgment in selecting appropriate tools and techniques to resolve issues
• Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day direction
