Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture: Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, with AWS as the primary cloud platform.
• Cloud Migration & Modernization: Lead cloud adoption, migration, infrastructure modernization, and hybrid integration initiatives across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Network Infrastructure: Design and optimize enterprise and cloud networks including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, load balancers, WAF, routing, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network segmentation.
• Server, Virtualization & Storage: Manage and architect compute, virtualization, and enterprise storage platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, EC2, SAN/NAS, backup, archival, and object storage.
• DevOps & Automation: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated provisioning, configuration management, and DevOps practices using tools such as GitLab, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Containerization & Modern Platforms: Architect and support containerized and serverless workloads using Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Security, Reliability & Governance: Implement infrastructure security controls, monitoring, observability, disaster recovery, business continuity, system hardening, and compliance requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, mentor engineering teams, collaborate with application/security/network teams, and provide architectural guidance and technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience: 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and DevOps.
• Cloud Expertise: Strong expertise in AWS with experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure; exposure to Azure or GCP is an advantage.
• Networking: Strong knowledge of enterprise and cloud networking, including VPC, routing, VPN, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, and network security.
• Compute & Storage: Hands-on experience with VMware/virtualization, EC2, enterprise storage, backup/recovery, operating systems, and system hardening.
• DevOps & Automation: Strong experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and infrastructure automation. GitLab experience is preferred.
• Containers & Scripting: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS, along with scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Security & Monitoring: Good understanding of IAM, KMS, encryption, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs, observability, cloud security, and infrastructure governance.
• Certifications & Leadership: AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification is preferred/required (Associate acceptable if progressing toward Professional). Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is an advantage.
