Senior Risk Officer

A well-capitalised global reinsurer with a significant APAC platform is seeking a Senior Actuarial Risk Manager to lead its Life & Health risk management function across the region.

This is a high-visibility, individual contributor role reporting directly to the Head of APAC Risk Management, with exposure to boards, executive committees, and regulators including MAS.

The Role

You will own the L&H risk management agenda across APAC - driving risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and escalation across a portfolio of entities operating in diverse regulatory environments. This spans operational, financial, reputational, and emerging risks including climate-related exposures.

You will act as the primary interface for all L&H risk matters across the region, working closely with Group Risk, senior leadership, and local regulators.

What They're Looking For

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or relevant discipline
• Qualified actuary (IFoA, SOA, or equivalent) with a dual background in actuarial and risk management
• Minimum 9 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with ORSA, stress & scenario testing, and FRM/ERM frameworks is essential; prior ERM exposure is a strong plus
• Strong communicator able to translate technical risk issues for senior and Board-level audiences
