Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team, responsible for end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system. This role requires a strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, as well as the ability to design, develop, and execute test cases for both UI-based and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our e-payment solutions through effective automation, root cause analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute testing activities throughout the testing lifecycle, including test planning, analyzing business and system requirements.
• Prepare the test environment and design/develop test cases based on system requirements.
• Automate test solutions using Python, Java, or C# and perform performance tuning.
• Create traceability from requirements and analyze any gaps, addressing them to ensure efficient testing.
• Log and track defects, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure resolution and closure.
• Conduct test reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis on production and user acceptance defects, ensuring efficient test coverage and resolving any identified gaps.
• Develop comprehensive design documents and user manuals to guide testers and stakeholders in understanding and utilizing the test automation solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software testing and developing test automation solutions, including devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems.
• Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and development to testing and deployment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C# for test automation.
• Certification in Software Testing is preferred.
• Experience with Micro-payments or Automatic Fare Collection systems, especially involving Smart Cards, is an advantage.
• Experience in System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Performance Testing will be highly regarded.
