Recruit123 is helping our client to hire a Veterinary Surgeon to join their veterinary clinic team.

Our client operates a full-service veterinary practice offering consultations, hospitalisation, surgery, and diagnostics for companion animals. They are looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and maintain the health of animals through preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of sick and injured patients
• Perform consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures for dogs, cats, and other companion animals
• Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare, general care, medical conditions, and treatment options
• Communicate promptly and effectively with clients regarding the progress of hospitalised patients and laboratory results
• Educate clients on zoonotic diseases and infections transferable from animals to humans
• Liaise closely with fellow veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance veterinary skills and knowledge
• Support euthanasia procedures with compassion and professionalism where required

Requirements:

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine/Science (BVSc, DVM, BVMS, or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Valid registration with the Singapore Veterinary Medical Board (or eligibility to obtain registration)
• Prior clinical experience in general practice preferred; new graduates may also be considered
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and teamwork
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends/public holidays as needed
