VP, Data Platform Program Lead, Technology

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the planning and delivery of data platform projects and system changes following the Software Development Lifecycle.
2. Serve as a data architect involved in logical and physical data modelling, collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect requirements, design solutions, and implement data strategies utilizing Azure services such as Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks.
3. Build data models to support data marts/enterprise data warehouse.
4. Manage data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and availability.
5. Ability to influence and steer technical direction.
6. Front technical reviews with technical team.
7. Involve in solutioning discussions with stakeholders.
8. Provide guidance and mentorship to data engineers and analysts.
9. Identify and assess new data technologies and tools, making recommendations for adoption.
10. Ensure adherence to data governance and security policies.
11. Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of the data platform.
12. Effectively communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
13. Collaborate with the data management office to identify governance requirements and ensure integration with existing platforms.
14. Implement data management best practices, including data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and metadata management within Azure.
15. Oversee budgeting for data initiatives, ensuring resource allocation aligns with organizational goals.
16. Provide ongoing maintenance and L3 support.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent; master’s degree is a plus.
2. Min. 8 years of working experience in management information systems, regulatory reporting, data management or data analytics role within Banks/Financial Institutions.
3. Experience in leading mid-sized project implementation.
4. Understand bank product, services, regulatory environment and customer needs
5. Understand bank traditional product and services for all commercial banking product
6. Proficient in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)/Agile project delivery framework.
7. Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable data solutions on Azure.
8. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
9. Relevant certifications in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
10. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
11. Experience in Microsoft Azure, data management, data warehousing, data mart, data visualization, design and implementation will be advantageous.
12. Knowledge in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting & Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, Capital / Profitability Management would be a plus.
13. Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM, ITIL is a plus.
