Marketing Communication Intern

Purpose:

The intern will support the Beauty and Personal Care marketing and business team in creating, establishing, and managing social media and digital marketing campaigns in APAC. This role is ideal for a candidate with marketing communications interest and a basic science background, who can translate technical product benefits into engaging digital content, support content creator collaborations, increase viewership, grow followers, strengthen customer engagement, and support conversion of products to sales opportunities.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Develop and support social media content calendars for key product campaigns, including posts, short videos, campaign captions, visuals briefs, and customer-facing digital assets.


• Translate science-based product benefits, claims, and application stories into simple, engaging, and customer-friendly marketing communications.


• Support the planning, launch, and ongoing management of digital campaigns across relevant social media and digital platforms to increase viewership, followers, engagement, and qualified customer interest.


• Track campaign performance metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, click-through rate, leads generated, and product interest, and prepare concise performance summaries.


• Work with marketing, technical, and commercial teams to develop content that supports product positioning, customer education, sales conversations, and new product promotion.


• Assist in creating digital marketing materials such as product teasers, campaign one-pagers, customer newsletters, webinar promotions, and event-related communications.


• Support content creator and influencer collaborations, including identifying relevant creators, coordinating content briefs, managing timelines, reviewing deliverables, and tracking campaign impact on engagement and lead generation.


• Monitor beauty, personal care, ingredient, and social media trends to identify content ideas, campaign themes, and opportunities to strengthen customer engagement.


• Support lead follow-up tracking by coordinating with sales and marketing teams to connect campaign engagement with customer interest and potential sales opportunities.

Requirements – Education, Experience, Skills:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.


• Interest in beauty, personal care, ingredients, science communication, digital marketing, and social media engagement.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical information into clear and engaging content.


• Basic understanding of social media platforms, digital campaigns, content planning, and audience engagement.


• Basic awareness of content creator, influencer, or KOL collaboration workflows is an advantage, including outreach, briefing, content review, and campaign tracking.


• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Canva or basic content design tools is an advantage.


• Analytical mindset with the ability to review campaign performance data and summarize key insights.


• Creative, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance from the marketing & business team.


• Collaborative team player who is eager to learn how marketing communications can support customer engagement and business growth.
