Job Description - Assistant Treasury Manager

Key responsibilities Develop Treasury & Insurance capability in the Middle East & African (MEA) region. Support business transactions and provide advice to the business stakeholders in relation to Treasury and Insurance matters. Build strong banking relationships with the regional & local banks. Lead the operational banking & cash management activity for the MEA region. Ensure that the MEA region's foreign currency risk is mitigated. With the dynamic & versatile nature of foreign currency exposure in the MEA region, the ideal candidate is expected be hands on in the foreign currency exposure management. Support the Global Insurance Renewal process and to work with our Insurance partners to support the MEA region in case of an Insurance claim. Participate in M&A activities including due diligence and integration. Participate & lead other Treasury & Insurance projects. The role will provide Treasury & Insurance exposure to the dynamic and versatile countries like South Africa, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Turkey, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda etc. Whilst prior Treasury experience is desirable, it is not essential, as training and further development opportunities will be available. Qualifications and skills Minimum 4-8 years' work experience Whilst prior Treasury experience is desirable, it is not essential, as training and further development opportunities will be available. Strong financial skills in areas of Reporting and IFRS Pro-active attitude towards the business and problem solving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills The ability to effectively lead, motivate and provide direction to others. Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritize and plan, and deliver results to tight deadlines. Able to take on new challenges and propose workable solutions for issues and work effectively in a multi-cultural fast paced environment. Demonstrate proficiency in in Microsoft Office suite. SAP /BPC knowledge an advantage
