CNC Machine Centre Operator

SUMMARY:
A well established and renowned industry leader within the steel manufacturing industry requires the services of a qualified and experienced (minimum of 5 years as a qualified artisan) CNC Machine Centre machine and/or lathe operator to join their team
Skills & experience:
Trade qualified OPERATOR / MACHINIST or equivalent required
Require experience with machine setups, fixturing, tooling setups, and operation.
5 years Working knowledge of CNC milling and machining centre
Experience in HEIDENHEIN and FANUC controls would be a benefit
Be able to work autonomously / independently
Be willing to work overtime
Own transport a necessity
Available Immediately
Relocate West Coast
Operate mills to perform a series of machining operations such turning, boring, threading, facing, grinding, drilling and tapering on round bars.
Operate machine with positioning controls Follow machining instructions, such as job order, drawings, process sheet, or layout on work piece to determine machining required, sequence of operation, tooling, feed, and speed rate, applying knowledge of materials and machining Choose correct tools to achieve desired product finish, based on material and other specifications
Read and Interpret drawings, and be able to hold tolerances Verifies dimensions of machined work piece with such measuring instruments as micrometers, telescoping gauges, vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
Solid knowledge of manufacturing and production principles, including safety and safe work practices.
Good time management and housekeeping skills, along with the ability to multi task. please note salary is negotiable POSITION INFO:
