Job Outline:
Candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. Working in our state-of-the-art facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely, meeting the needs of our clients and supporting our commitment to quality service delivery. Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the plant and construction vehicle hire industry.
• Vocational training or certification in diesel mechanics or a related field.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment such as scan tools, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of engines and components.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify defects, worn parts, and potential problems in accordance with maintenance schedules.
• Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Complete work orders accurately and timely, documenting all repairs and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
