This highly acclaimed SA Top Chef offers fresh and beautifully styled contemporary cuisine - all prepared from scratch using daily fresh produce. The cuisine is inspired by the beauty of the surrounding winelands with a small team of chefs at the main restaurant and terrace overlooking the entire Paarl Valley. Our focus is to create wholesome farm fresh cuisine, beautifully plated with absolute care and perfection.
We are in search of a talented and passionate young chef to independently prepare, plate and serve daily meals for VIP guests at the Manor House as well as assist with production duties at the Terrace Restaurant. The daily menu at the Manor House and weekly changing menu at the Terrace Restaurant requires innovation, imagination and focus.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 2 - 3 years industry experience within Fine Dining / Top 10 establishments
Culinary strengths in Hot & Cold Kitchen with experience in plating of multiple components
Must be adaptable to working off different menus and innovative in utilizing ingredients
Effective communication skills and proficient in English & an outgoing personality - to liaise directly with guests in establishing meal preferences for dinners at the Manor House
Must be comfortable creating new dishes with SEVERAL detailed plating components and INNOVATIVE garnish ideas.
Must demonstrate good planning skills, be well organized and work efficiently and hygienically.
