SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join their firm. POSITION INFO:

Requirements
  • Matric
  • Relevant qualification in Hospitality
  • Own vehicle
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Food and Beverage Manager role
Job Requirements
  • Supervision of Staff:
    • Hiring, training, and supervising F&B staff.
    • Scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
    • Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback.
  • Daily Operations:
    • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the dining facilities.
    • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
    • Coordinating with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service.
  • Inventory and Supplies:
    • Managing inventory of food, beverages, and supplies.
    • Ordering and purchasing necessary items.
    • Maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
Financial Management
  • Budgeting:
    • Developing and managing the F&B budget.
    • Monitoring financial performance and ensuring cost control.
    • Preparing financial reports and analyzing sales and revenue.
  • Pricing:
    • Setting menu prices to balance cost and profitability.
    • Analyzing market trends and adjusting prices accordingly.
Customer Service
  • Guest Satisfaction:
    • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
    • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues.
    • Gathering and acting on customer feedback.
  • Quality Control:
    • Monitoring the quality of food and beverages served.
    • Implementing and maintaining service standards.
Marketing and Promotions
  • Marketing Strategies:
    • Developing and executing marketing and promotional strategies.
    • Organizing special events and themed nights to attract customers.
    • Collaborating with marketing teams to enhance the establishment’s visibility and reputation.
Administrative Duties
  • Documentation:
    • Maintaining records related to staff, inventory, and finances.
    • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting:
    • Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management.
    • Analyzing operational data to inform strategic decisions.
Innovation and Improvement
  • Menu Development:
    • Working with chefs to create and update menus.
    • Introducing new food and beverage offerings based on customer preferences and trends.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identifying areas for operational improvement and implementing solutions.
    • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance service quality.
Training and Development
  • Staff Training:
    • Organizing training sessions for staff on customer service, food safety, and other relevant topics.
    • Promoting professional development and career advancement opportunities for employees.
