French-speaking Collections Agent

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing and executing various accounts receivable processes, including contacting past due customers, account reconciliations, generating customer statements, and handling invoice copy requests. The role also involves managing customer disputes, reporting, and handling adhoc requests from the Domestic Collections team. Key Responsibilities

• Contact past due customers via email or phone.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Generate and send requested customer statements.
• Obtain missing remittance for cash on account.
• Send remittance details to cash application where needed.
• Obtain PODs (Proof of Delivery) for assigned accounts.
• Request and manage PODs for customers on the CIT dispute report.
• Locate and provide invoice copies upon request.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash at CIT.
• Review and resolve customer disputed balances less than $20k.
• Compile and distribute weekly dispute reports.
• Handle special requests and statements from Domestic Collections.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fluent in French and English
• Educational background in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Proficiency in SAP and other accounting software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Experience with accounts receivable processes and customer service.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
• Experience in handling customer disputes and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with generating financial reports and managing data.
