This includes performing installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery, and performance tuning for hosted services (IT Infrastructure Data Center).Job description Set up and manage the technical infrastructure (SaaS Platforms) of our customers.Take care of the implementation and handling of changes and solving disruptions andescalationsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align network solutionsaccordingly.Provide regular updates and reports on network performance and projects.Streamline network operations and automate routine tasks to improve efficiency.Establish and maintain network policies, procedures, and standards.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.Oversee scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and optimization activities.Develop comprehensive network architecture blueprints aligning with business requirements,scalability, and security.Evaluate and select fit-for-purpose network technologies, hardware, and software solutions.Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance for successfulimplementation.Integrate robust security measures into network designs to safeguard sensitive data.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Execute application-level SSLplus configure mutual validation for back-end systems communication. Minimum requirements Matric/Grade 12BTech/BA Honours in IT or equivalentTechnically Certified in one of the following disciplines: Network Infrastructure, IT Security,Windows/Linux Servers, Cloud TechnologyMinimum 5 years’ experience within IT Infrastructure Data Centre SupportMust have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in virtualisation technologies, for example, HyperV or VMWare. A VMWare (VCP) certification is an advantage.Must have knowledge and supporting expertise in Microsoft Windows 7/10/11, Windows Server2008/2012/2016/2019/2022 technologies; 4 years for Desktop OS or more and 3 years forServer OS or more. Any Unix/Linux OS experience would be an advantage.Must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in MS Cloud-based technologies, suchas Microsoft 365, CRM/Accpac, ADFS, Teams, Azure, etc.Extensive experience in the design, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure, coveringthe following: DNS, AD, GPOs, DHCP, Firewall, AV, Operating Systems, WSUS, VMWare, FTP,Servers, SAN Storage, Oracle/MS SQL Databases, Backup Solution, ISP (VPN, Switches, Hubs,Routers, Cabling etc).Understanding of the following architecture models: Client/Server (LAN/WAN), Service-OrientedArchitecture (SOA)Hospitality knowledge including Micros/Simphony/Opera POS systems would be advantage.Hands-on knowledge of IT Automation/Scripting for information extraction and reporting DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIESPersonal Attributes and QualitiesA strong focus on automation and agile developmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAn ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to operate at all levels of the organisation.Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communications.Must be able to work independently and perform under pressure.Ability to multitask and prioritise.Excellent organizational, planning and leadership skills.Competent to work at a high technical level, is eager to learn and is willing to follow theapplicable processes and procedures.
