Job Description - Interior Architect

SUMMARY:
A well-established Interior Design Company is looking to hire an experienced Interior Architect to join their team in Johannesburg North.

R23 000 ~ R26 000 | On Site | Johannesburg | Perm POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Design and Planning
- Develop interior architectural designs, concepts, and space planning.
- Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and renderings using software such as Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures that meet project requirements and client preferences.
Project Management
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare project timelines, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
Client Interaction
- Conduct client meetings to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Present design concepts and proposals to clients for approval.
- Provide ongoing client support and address any issues or changes during the project lifecycle.
Technical Proficiency
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and detailed drawings.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction aligns with design intent and quality standards.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate interior design with architectural and structural components.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors for material procurement and installation.
Research and Development
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interior architecture or design.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Excel and other design software.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and materials.
Design Skills: Excellent design and spatial planning abilities with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

Working Conditions
