Senior -Level Interior Designer:

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 8 years proven work experience (Contactable references).

2. Must be able to work both independently and with a team.

3. Candidate should be creative and have an eye for design and detail.

4. Must be able to work under pressure with quick turnover times.

Responsibilities:

2. Client engagement:

o Serve as primary liaison with clients; actively listening to their needs,

preferences, and feedback throughout the design process.

o Present design proposals and recommendations addressing client concerns

and incorporating feedback to ensure alignment with project objectives.

o Confidently attend and lead meetings with clients and contractors.

3. Project management:

o Confidently attend and lead meetings with contractors.

o Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver

projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.

o Liaise with external design teams and other associated organisations or

companies.

o Need to be available to travel and work weekends and overtime, when

required.

4. Conceptualization and Design Development:

o Good understanding of all phases of a project from concept to completion.

o Develop and compile design presentations with relevant software.

o Produce technical drawings, joinery and details.

o Excellent understanding of construction and joinery details.

o Familiar with local building codes and regulations.

o Good problem-solving skills in coming up with design solutions.

o Procurement experience with a good understanding of FF&E and materials.

o Keep up with local trends and available materials and construction methods.

5. Leadership and Mentorship:

o Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all designers, fostering their

professional growth and nurturing a collaborative team environment.

o Lead by examples, inspiring creativity, innovation, and excellence within the

design team to achieve project goals and exceed expectations.

Desirable

1. Experience in restaurant/hospitality/residential design would be an advantage.

2. Roll out experience a plus.

Technical skills:

- Proficient in Sketch Up, AutoCAD and Photoshop

- Rendering programs Enscape or similar

- Proficient in PowerPoint presentations

- Excel spreadsheets for budget purposes
