CELL ASSEMBLY PROCESS ENGINEER

Department: Process Engineering

Your Role: As a key player in our dynamic team, you will be responsible for the definition of cell assembly process of Basquevolt’s semi-solid proprietary Li-ion cells.

1. Participating in the selection and validation of new battery assembly machines.
2. Participating in the design, validation and start-up of assembly lines
3. Defining product and process specifications for the various battery designs with the R&D teams & Participating in the study of new battery designs.
4. Perform post-fabrication assessments to validate the quality and reproducibility of the assembly.
5. Assist the manufacturing team in resolving the various problems associated with the assembly line.
6. Participate in the assessment of cells and suggest corrective measures that can be applied to the line.
7. Train new users on the line's various machines.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual capable of taking up this challenging opportunity to develop an ambitious project. Applicants should have a high degree of initiative and should be open to intense interdisciplinary collaboration, first in an early-stage start-up but moving progressively to an efficient mid-size organisation.

The Cell Assembly Process Engineer should have experience in the development and manufacturing of lithium-ion battery, ideally within a corporate organization.

Specifically, we will assess expertise in the following aspects:

1. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Li-ion battery manufacturing.
3. Experience in battery products (LFP / NMC cathode, graphite anode, etc...).
4. Good understanding of the various product and process constraints related to the battery field.
5. Experience in mechanical piece assembly and stress expertise.
6. Applicants should be fluent in English. Spanish or any other European language will be a plus.
7. Uses good problem-solving techniques to identify root cause. Implements actions to eliminate further occurrences.
