Job Description :The Director, Business Planning and Operations (BPO), supports the Late- Tage Development Respiratory and Immunology (Late R&I;) organisation with critical aspects of its business operations and performance through effective project/change management and continuous improvement. This involves the management of Late R&I; strategic initiatives and chief of staff support for Clinical Development, consisting of the execution of annual business processes, capacity planning and management, and leadership effectiveness. Typical AccountabilitiesProvide project management support to complex projects and strategic initiatives in Late R&I;, partnering with other functions as necessary to drive enterprise- Wide solutionsWork with Capacity Management Lead to support functional capacity management process including input into annual MTP submissionLead regular business processes, such as budget, review, resource planning, travel requests, recruitment and consultation in partnership with Clinical Development leadershipWork closely with Head of Business Planning and Operations to ensure optimal usage of available resources, both people and funds, to deliver the greatest level of productivity and maximum value for the organisationDevelop function scorecard and track progressServe as secretariat for functional leadership team, including meeting preparation and facilitation, and scorecard managementPartner with functional admins to ensure leader effectivenessPlan and execute functional communication and engagement plan, partnering with Scientific Communication and Engagement Lead when neededEnsure delivery of Future of Work targets within functionMust have a high level of cultural sensitivity, interactive communication, negotiation and effective collaboration
