⭐ Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineering Manager to lead and grow our AI group that currently is composed by two squads. You will optimize the team's productivity and foster personal development while driving AI strategy and innovation.

To excel in this role, you must have previous managerial experience within the AI/ML field (ideally Generative AI), be a people person, lead by example, and be passionate about motivating and inspiring others.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand business goals, customer needs, and market trends. Lead crucial technical projects and initiatives pivotal to the company's success.
• Manage budgets for AI squads and control running costs while ensuring operational excellence.
• Manage budgets and tools to leverage AI internally within the company.
• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Design, Product, QA, and DevOps, to ensure smooth end-to-end product development and deployment processes.
• Cultivate a data-driven decision-making environment, establish and monitor quality indicators and measurements to uphold product quality, and drive continuous improvement across AI engineering teams.
• Support the team in executing the company's AI-driven product roadmap, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of top-notch features and improvements.
• Utilize your prompt engineering and chaining techniques skills to optimize and enhance system performance.
• Enhance our LLMOps infrastructure to establish a robust feedback loop with precise metrics, ensuring continuous optimization of each use case.
• Suggest improvements to our RAG in production to continually improve its metrics.
• Maximize team performance by leading and developing a strong AI team through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching, and career development plans.

• 5+ years of experience building, leading, and scaling development teams
• At least one year of experience leading a team with Data Scientist/ML engineers
• Previous experience with Generative AI and RAG
• Agile mindset in software development and experience managing agile teams and educating teams about agile principles and methodologies (e.g., SCRUM or Kanban).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Extensive development experience that includes experience with Python.
• Positive, committed, with a 'can-do' attitude and a flexible approach.
• Experience implementing reliable and efficient processes to accelerate development and improve quality
• Experience with LLMOps, including deploying and scaling ML models in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of working in a multicultural environment.

• Having previous experience leading a AI team using Generative AI
• Having previous experience working for a successful tech startup.
