Job Title

Senior Manager, Billing Operations

Lead the activities of the Billing Operations team by o p timizing billing operations activities to ensure Amadeus meets its key billing deliverables and safeguard the revenues of Amadeus Companies .

The Senior Manager will lead a dedicated team of Billing Managers driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration across various departments, and maintaining high standards of staff performance and productivity.

1. Drive billing of revenues and expenses for Amadeus (Billing Operations)
• Ensure the execution of the end to end flow for Central billing Operations for Amadeus IT Group S.A.

• Warrantee that mediation activity is monitored and any system warnings or issues are solved or escalated including the analysis of variations, trends and potential errors via Error management.

• Ensure billing accuracy, both revenues and costs, while complying with the Central Billing SLAs both to internal and external customers as well as the internal SLAs with Finance.
• Make sure all billing related documents and files are distributed, both internally and externally to our customers, via our corporate tools in a timely manner and as per the SLAs set out.
• Coordinate the resolution of any billing related incidents impacting daily or monthly processing with the Support team, as well as customer claims and the corresponding communication to impacted parties.
• Lead the identification, implementation and communication of standardized ways of working for billing operations both centrally and across regions.

• Be responsible for and ensure the volumes and revenues billed for Distribution products are correct including the analysis of any potential deviations.

2. Manage business Evolution

• Identify, propose and implement improvements for internal business solutions as well as the processes around these.

• Support the Revenue Management and Collection organization in their activities to ensure the continuity of central billing, providing feedback to Management.

• Lead the collaboration with Contract fulfillment teams and Product Model Experts within the Revenue Management and Collection organization to understand new billing models, feasibility and future implementations and their impact on our billing processes. Ensure new implementation do not impact existing processes.

3. Lead Communications 

• Lead the communication to all external and internal parties by defining and implementing communication plans.

4. Drive Audits

 • Act as main point of contact within Billing Operations to liaise with internal and external auditors, consolidating internally within the team all necessary evidences from the Billing system.

5. Lead the Billing Team

• Ensure the activities of the team are properly identified and sized and that resources align with needs.

• Manage and coordinate all activities related to HHRR for the Billing Operations team including recruiting, evaluations and setting objectives.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and sharing among the members of the team.

• Identify development opportunities for people within the team paying attention to potential for career development within the company and also areas for growth within the team.

About the ideal candidate

- University Degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields 

- 7-10 years experience in a Order to Cash or financial leading role in a multinational company

- Proficient in SAP (SD, MM, FI, BRIM) or possess similar domain experience + excel and all type of windows applications

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, highly organized. Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills to interface with various levels of management.

- Ability to work with strict and demanding deadlines, coordinating a round the sun organization. Business focus, initiative and proven experience implementing process improvements.

- Is proficient in English, other languages a plus
