Application Security Engineer Within E-Health

The position

As a Software Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in embedding security within the fabric of our development processes and solutions. You will be involved in driving the adoption of security best practices, designing secure architectures for new solutions, and shaping the security posture of existing systems. Your expertise will contribute to a culture of security awareness and lead the charge in automating and refining the application security posture.

Responsibilities

• Integrate organizational security standards and expectations seamlessly into development processes.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure design of secure software solutions.
• Spearhead initiatives to enhance security awareness across all teams through training and advocacy.
• Lead threat modeling exercises to anticipate and plan for potential security threats.
• Enhance Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST/DAST) capabilities and security automation.
• Evaluate security hardening efforts to reinforce the resilience of our solutions.
• Manage Third-Party Component security governance and cyber security risks.

To be successful in this role we think that you should be a dynamic, result-oriented individual with a software engineering background with strong passion for cybersecurity. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills at identifying and mitigating risks in complex software systems. A team player, eager to learn and share knowledge and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

Requirements

• Proficiency in DevOps, DAST, SAST, and security hardening techniques.
• Experience with automation tools and processes in a security context.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and application security best practices.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information security.
  

It's a bonus if you

• Professional qualifications in Information/Cyber security would be a distinct advantage.
• Proven experience in software security engineering, including designing secure solutions and improving legacy systems.
• If you have previous experience from the e-health domain and knowledge of Open EHR, FHIR or SNOMED CT.
• Passion for educating and elevating teams' security awareness.

Place of employment : Linköping or Stockholm

Scope : Full time
