Location: Stockholm, or London or Sophia Antipolis with regular travel to Stockholm Job type: Permanent position The Role In this role, you will create and execute the plan to build evroc’s data centers, beginning with a pilot site in 2024, and scaling up to delivery of one and then two full-scale hypercenters every year. You will work with our Construction and Mechanical and Electrical engineering partners to deliver landmark buildings that achieve world-leading energy efficiency. You will provide hands-on coordination of these large-scale projects, being involved in everything from site selection, planning and permit applications and utility supply contracts, all the way through to commissioning and handover. You will build a multi-disciplinary team of both evroc employees and contractors that can rise to the challenge of creating the physical manifestation of Europe’s first hyperscaler. What You'll Tackle Fully own the delivery of evroc’s data center build program. Create and execute the plan to build each evroc data center, iteratively improving the process whilst retaining standardization. Build a skilled, diverse, multi-disciplinary team of experts that can excel in the areas of site selection, negotiation and deal-making with landowners, utilities and local government, vendor management and supply chain, and quality and safety. Drive the initial pilot build project in a hands-on manner, and subsequently scale the function to allow multiple projects to proceed in parallel. Work with architects, contractors and evroc’s data center and network operations teams to ready the centers for commissioning and handover to revenue usage. Skills We Value Extensive years ofexperience in construction or technical infrastructure delivery. Extensive years of experience in technical project/program management. Experience in data center/hyperscale construction in the EU. Experience working across borders with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Experience in vendor relationship management and delivery of large projects through multiple subcontractors. Technical knowledge of at least one area of data center delivery: either structural, electrical, mechanical, controls or IT equipment. Act like an owner: our senior leads are expected to own the whole problem, and you’ll have a keen appreciation of why that’s so important in this delivery-focused role. Build a great team: you’ll have a track record of building effective cross-functional teams and growing the next generation of leaders. Organize and communicate: you’ll be a great planner, with a reputation for creating order from chaos, and you’ll be able to communicate effectively all the way from the C-suite down to the tradespeople on the ground. Push the boundaries: you’ll be comfortable challenging the status quo, and motivating your team and our contracting partners to deliver solutions on thecutting edge of technology.
