Financial Analytics Engineer at Sellpy

Sellpy is growing at a rapid pace and so is our appetite and need to process our financial data. With millions of pre-loved items being processed every year across multiple markets and currencies you will assist in making financial sense of it all. The Financial Analytics Engineer will analyse data from our production systems and supply the finance team with accurate and timely information. We see a huge value in gathering and utilising this data and developing our unit economics models to improve efficiency and make sustainable shopping even easier for our customers.

In short, you will

• Write advanced SQL to connect all the dots across Sellpy.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure the stability and accuracy of the financial data.
• Develop Sellpy’s unit economics models and make them usable and accessible internally.
• Perform analysis based on the unit economics model and financial data.

• BigQuery
• Airflow
• Python

Requirements

• A M.S. degree or a shorter education combined with relevant work experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Proven ability to perform high-quality data analysis.
• 1-3 years of work experience from an equivalent role.
• Written and spoken fluency in English, as this is our company language.

We’d be impressed if you have

• Previous experience of financial data analysis.
• Used Apache Airflow.
• Worked in a fast-growing, product-focused startup environment
