Job Description - Revenue Manager

Aviation is a vital part of Scandinavian infrastructure and SAS is Scandinavia's leading airline. We are now looking for new colleagues with an analytical approach to maximize passenger revenues at SAS. Regardless of whether you are at the beginning of your career or have worked for a couple of years in an analytical, commercial, or technical role, you might be the right person for us!

Revenue Management at SAS has around 60 employees and consists of four optimization teams, one pricing team and a system development team. Each optimization team has about 8-10 employees and 1-2 Team Leader(s).

Job description:

As a Revenue Manager you will join one of the optimization teams and manage a portfolio of routes with a budget of between 500 MSEK to 1bnSEK.

All Revenue Managers have their own targets and holds the responsibility to optimize and improve revenue on their respective portfolio, where the combination of pricing strategies, forecasting methods and market analyses is key. We expect you to become a skilled user of our best-in-class optimization system, as well as contribute to the development and streamlining of work processes. To support you in your daily work you will have a wide set of tools, and with help from experienced team members you will receive the guidance and support that you need to develop in this role.

As a Revenue Manager you will:

· Define, implement and continuously develop strategies on your routes

· Analyze demand trends and forecasts and adjust steering accordingly

· Analyze competitors and develop an understanding of the different customer behaviors on your markets

· Drive a dynamic test agenda in order to challenge and evaluate different revenue generating hypotheses

· Monitor events on your market that affects demand and willingness to pay (festivals, major events etc)

· Collaborate with other units such as Network, Pricing, Sales, and Marketing to align strategies and identify new business opportunities

The person we are looking for:

· Has an analytical approach and is able to showcase strong analytical skills

· Is professional, has integrity and is data-driven in their decision making

· Holds a Bachelor’s degree as a minimum, probably within engineering, economics or statistics

· Speaks and writes fluently in English or any of the Scandinavian languages

· Strong knowledge of Excel

· Is an EU citizen

· Lives in Stockholm or is willing to relocate at own expense

· A solid onboarding where you will be assigned an experienced Revenue Manager as a mentor. During your first months here, you will receive support from your team, mentor, and Team Leader as well as visiting other departments within SAS. System training is provided by the system supplier and some training is held in Copenhagen.
