Beyond Tech is looking for a SAP Product Owner to join the team.

Job description:

As the SAP Product Owner, you will lead the SAP team in daily operations and will be responsible for owning and managing the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the SAP systems and solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external partners, to prioritize requirements, define the product roadmap, and ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Vision and Strategy: Define the vision and strategy for the SAP systems and solutions in alignment with business objectives. Develop a deep understanding of business needs, market trends, and technology advancements to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
2. Product Roadmap Management: Create and maintain the product roadmap, outlining key initiatives, features, and enhancements to be delivered over time. Prioritize backlog items based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
3. Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements for SAP projects and enhancements. Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable deliverables for development teams.
4. Release Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate SAP releases, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and business priorities. Define release scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with development teams, QA teams, and other stakeholders.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, executives, IT teams, and external partners, to communicate product vision, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business goals and expectations.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development teams, scrum masters, business analysts, and architects, to ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects. Provide guidance, support, and direction to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Product Demonstration and Feedback: Conduct product demonstrations and showcases to stakeholders, showcasing new features, enhancements, and capabilities of SAP solutions. Gather feedback, validate requirements, and iterate on product features based on stakeholder input.
8. Product Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of product features, functionalities, and technical specifications. Maintain product documentation up-to-date, including user manuals, training materials, and release notes.

Qualifications and skills required for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner [CSPO]) is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on SAP systems and solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP modules, functionalities, and best practices, including but not limited to Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Human Capital Management (HCM), SuccessFactors, Concur and Open Text/VIM.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and product management practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and drive consensus on product vision and priorities.
• Proven track record of successfully managing SAP projects from conception to delivery, including requirements gathering, release planning, and stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and analyze complex business requirements, prioritize backlog items, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product value.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving common goals and delivering high-quality solutions.
