Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Test Engineer to join their team in Bern. As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software products. You will work closely with the development team to design and implement testing procedures, identify and document defects, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure the quality of embedded software products
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Perform regression testing and ensure that software updates and patches do not negatively impact functionality
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test environments
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports on software performance and quality
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and implementation
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• ISTQB Certified
• Proficiency in Python and Git
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus
