Purchasing Engineer

Ekomak Product Company, İstanbul Turkey, has a vacancy for a Sourcing (Purchasing) Engineer for Compressor components ranging from 2.2 kw to 315kw.

In this job you are responsible for the purchase of components for the industrial air compressors and driers that meet the requirements in terms of quality, price and delivery performance.

You manage the suppliers market for these components in an active way, meaning you are responsible for:

• Exploring for new suppliers, sourcing opportunities locally and internationally
• Identification of product and/or process optimization leading to the definition and implementation of CC7 cost reduction projects
• Challenging and optimization of product specification in close cooperation with our engineering team
• The supplier selection process incl. price analyses and price negotiations
• Optimization of supply chain process
• Follow-up of quality performance (together with the SQA engineer) and delivery performance.
• Monitor and support inventory management activities, together with Planning and Production team.
• Logistics flow for local and import components.
• 2 to 4 years purchasing experience in global company.
• Experience in a technical function or production environment is an asset.
• Preferred responsible commodity: fabrication parts, compressor components, OEM parts
• Absence of domestic and international travel barriers
• Good command of Turkish and English

Knowledge

You are a Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial engineer or equal through experience.
You have a profound knowledge of English. Other languages are a plus.

Ekomak Endustriyel Kompresor A.S. is a Turkish producer of screw compressors from 2,2 to 250 kW, founded in 1992. The Ekomak main office is located in Istanbul while the Ekomak factory (inaugurated in 2010) is located in Edirne, about 250 km east of Istanbul.
Ekomak is part of the Atlas Copco Group since August 2012. Ekomak products are sold in Turkey and Ekomak is since a number of years the largest compressor exporter in Turkey with sales to the CIS counties, Europe and some other selected markets. Ekomak employs approximately 87 people in the factory in Edirne.
