Job Description - Business Development Manager Lighting Solutions

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth in the lighting solutions sector. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the lighting market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize target market segments, industries, and geographic regions for business development activities in the lighting solutions sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, lighting designers, contractors, distributors, and other key stakeholders in the industry.
  • Proactively prospect and qualify leads to generate new business opportunities.
  • Lead sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and the delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making and optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote brand awareness and foster new business relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development or sales management roles, preferably in the lighting solutions industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting products, technologies, and applications, with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to customers.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and building strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and results-driven mindset
