Junior Associate - Tax & Accounting

To support Senior Associates in their tax and accounting responsibilities, gaining practical experience and knowledge in a mentorship role.

Tasks &Responsibilities

• Work closely with Senior Associates to gain hands-on experience in tax and accounting practices.
• Shadow senior team members to learn the intricacies of client engagements and financial regulations.
• Actively seek guidance and mentorship to enhance your understanding and skills in tax and accounting.
• Assisting the team members in Day to day-to-day accounting, preparing receipts, payment and journal vouchers.
• Assisting team members in monthly closing, preparation of financials, VAT working and ad-hoc reports
• Assisting the team in VAT procedures which will involve understanding, planning and the preparation of VAT workings
• Assisting team members in scheduling initial setup meeting with clients and ensuring the data collection
• Requirements are met.
• Working on client accounts from diverse industries and meeting client requirements adequately.
• Bank, AR & AP Reconciliations for clients, maintaining necessary schedules and ensuring monthly client services are
• delivered on time.
• Assisting the clients in registrations in various portals and ensuring clients are compliant with Law & Regulations
• Monitoring the client contracts and initiating the process for contract renewals on time.
• Assisting the team members in Ensuring team deadlines & and objectives are met.
• Assist Senior Associates in client-related tasks, including data analysis, record-keeping, and compliance.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development of financial strategies.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure clients' needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

• A university graduate in Finance and Accounting.
• ACCA/CMA/CPA/CA Qualified /Part-qualified.
• Years of Experience 12 To 18 months of relevant work experience / Internships in the UAE
• Willingness to learn and take initiatives
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Knowledge in VAT and Tax Computations
