Senior Registered Nurse

Job Description:

As a Senior Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Department (OPD), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a clinic setting. Your duties will include assessing patient health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also be expected to oversee and mentor junior nursing staff, assist in training programs, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, current RN licensure, and a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting. Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the Outpatient Department (OPD).
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the OPD.
• Develop and implement care plans for patients visiting the OPD.
• Conduct patient assessments and assist with medical procedures as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and best practices in the OPD.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff in the OPD.
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for patients in the OPD.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare facility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
• Current valid RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant nursing experience, with at least 2 years in outpatient department (OPD) setting
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
