Overview: The Digital Partnerships team in EEMEA leads Mastercard's engagement with non-Financial Institutions digital commerce segment. We work with the biggest names in tech, ecommerce, and financial services to leverage Mastercard's technological capabilities to solve partner business problems, create new propositions, and ensure seamless, secure, and inclusive payments. Our Digital Partners include Telco's (Mobile Network Operators), Digital Merchants (including but not limited to Online Market Places, Logistics, and On Demand Services - Ride Hailing including Large Digital Giants, FinTech's, PSPs and Enablers. We are also responsible for opening new and emerging payment sectors and driving innovation such as Microlending, Crypto Currency and Gaming. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging payments technology to digitally transform new and emerging sectors, digital innovation, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial and commercially astute mindset. This role will be based in Dubai and will report into EVP, Head of Market Development, EEMEA Role: The SVP, Digital Partnerships and Enablers (DP&E) is a critical member of the Market Development (MD) Leadership team and is central to shaping the broader DP& Enabler strategy by acting as a primary representative of the voice of the customer. This role is a key enabler of revenue growth, leading a regional Sales, Business Development and Account management team accountable for all DP&E revenues across 80+ markets and multiple product lines.
  • In this high-profile, customer facing position, you will partner with customers across the DP&E with a focus on identifying new business opportunities, challenges and facilitating the deployment of commercially viable and innovative solutions working with cross functional partners - regionally and globally.
  • You will be responsible for driving the commercialization of signed deals and driving the segment strategy across all key verticals and delivering solutions that extend and diversity Mastercard's revenue across the customers value chain (i.e.) value chain expansion.
  • You will be the global 'owner' of Mastercard's relationship with your assigned accounts and accountable to build mutually aligned strategies and plans with your partners and execute on them by effectively leveraging the Mastercard organization.
  • You will be responsible for driving Mastercard revenue growth and be comfortable developing business cases including ROI analyses as well as leading responses to RFPs.
  • You will dive into financial and payment related data to be grounded in facts in order to provide customer specific recommendations that drive value for partners and Mastercard.
  • You will be the expert on your assigned partners and learn about Mastercard's capabilities and be ready to provide relevant insights into the individual customer sectors & business, thinking strategically and broadly.
  • You will establish day to day and senior business relationships and work with partners to create roadmaps and through QBRs and daily interactions ensure alignment on strategy and execution on agreed projects.
  • You will lead negotiations with partners and with internal stakeholders and develop terms sheets and contracts.

  • Significant client facing experience across industries.
  • Extensive experience with business development strategy and execution in complex and international countries/regions. Demonstrable expertise operating in a global & regional business environment.
  • Scaled leadership experience, preferably with global or multi-geography teams; proven track record of team/function management, acting as an enterprise leader and leader of leaders, with emphasis on building and nurturing a high-performing team with strong followership.
  • A passion and comfort in meeting new people and building & nurturing meaningful relationships at all levels including with senior-level and C-Suite executives. Strong Business Development & Relationship.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, balancing both internal and external priorities.
  • P&L / financial accountability in high growth environment
  • Matrix management and navigation skills: adept at managing internal stakeholders, leading complex initiatives that require collaboration across functions/geographies and working effectively across diverse teams.
