Data & Research Analyst

My client are a large prestigious government organisation, they are seeking Data & Research Analysts on an initial 6 month contract basis (37 hours per week). The role is paying £20.47 per hour for the duration of the contract, INSIDE IR35.

Qualifications

PhD/Degree/MSc in a highly numerate subject (e.g. Data Analytics, MORSE, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics)

Mandatory Experience

• Knowledge of Python/Pyspark, SQL or R programming.
• Experience of applying appropriate analytical tools and methods to provide high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Able to identify information gaps, weaknesses and anomalies in own analysis/research and that of others.
• Able to act independently in the application of specialist knowledge to arrive at evidenced conclusions, options and/or recommendations.
• Able to communicate to technical and nontechnical audiences through both written, visual and verbal presentation, including use of effective communication methods for team management and engagement, where applicable.
• Able to apply basic approaches to plan, monitor and deliver own work to a high quality in a timely manner; identifying risks and issues as appropriate.
• Experience of working collaboratively with
  customers/stakeholders to understand their requirements and shape delivery.
• Able to ensure their team has a clear understanding of their objectives and time-frames.
• Is an effective role model (leads by example, is approachable, shows enthusiasm, challenges inappropriate behaviour).
• Relevant experience in using analytical software to deliver high quality analysis and/or new methods.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo BPSS and SC Clearance, therefore applicants must of resided in the UK for a minimum of four out of the last five years, in order to undergo this level of security check.
