Teaching Personnel are currently working with a mixed secondary comprehensive school in order to recruit an experienced Drama Teacher to take on a long-term contract for an immediate start. About the school: A 4-18 mixed, community, comprehensive school with a long history of providing a high quality education to the communities of Enfield. Although we are a large organisation, with nearly 1800 students and around 250 staff making up our school community, our dual-campus structure means that the young people in our care have the experience of being in a caring and supportive environment that much smaller schools can offer. Immediately Teaching responsibilites: Teaching Acting Techniques: Instructing students on various acting techniques such as improvisation, character development, voice projection, and stage movement. Overseeing the production process for school plays, musicals, and other performances. Script Analysis: Helping students understand and interpret scripts, including dissecting character motivations, themes, and historical contexts. Stagecraft: Teaching students about stage design, lighting, sound, and other technical aspects of theater production. Performance Coaching: Providing guidance and feedback to students during rehearsals and performances to help them improve their acting skills and stage presence. Arranging opportunities for students to learn from professional actors, directors, and other theater professionals through workshops and masterclasses. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) Have extensive experience teaching Drama up to GCSE level (Ideally A Level) Be passionate about working with children Hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce only) Working with Teaching Personnel, you will benefit from: Competitive daily pay rates paid every Friday (PAYE and no umbrella company used) Access to our Online Portal to easily manage your calendar, view payslips and update your personal details Access to our exclusive CPD Academy with hundreds of training courses (many free!)
