Part-Time Assistant Accountant

Our client is a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in central Tunbridge Wells. They are seeking an experienced part-time Assistant Accountant to join their team either 3 or 4 days a week. The successful candidate will ideally be studying the AAT, or be AAT qualified, or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in practice. Within this position, the successful candidate will be given excellent opportunities to progress within their technical ability, and career while working with a supportive team around them. They will also be offered AAT/ ACCA/ ACA study support for the future, the opportunity to work a hybrid working pattern, and a highly competitive remuneration package. Our client services a range of local owner managed businesses from sole traders, through to Ltd companies and partnerships.

• Preparation of statutory accounts
  
• Preparation of, or support with management accounts for a variety of clients
  
• Preparation of corporate tax and personaltax computations
  
• Preparationof VAT returns
  
• Generalbookkeepingusing cloud software- Xero, QuickBooks, Sage etc.
  
• Supporting the directors with ad-hoc advisory work
  
• Assisting more junior members of staff

Requirements

• You will be AAT qualified or part qualified, or qualified by experience
  
• You will have a minimum of 2 years experience within practice.
  
• Experience of cloud software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous.

• £25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
