Title: Photographer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 12 Months
- Which department will they be supporting? After-Market Marketing Group
- Can you walk me through what a typical day looks like for the contractor? Unpack part, place in a photo box, take photos based on set criteria, edit the photo if needed, return to package and repeat.
- Will they be working independently or as part of a team? Independently
- Will they need to have their own equipment? If not, what equipment will they be using? The client will provide all necessary equipment
- What specific skills or experience do you think are most important for this position, besides just knowing your way around a camera? How to review a photo and determine if the quality meets our needs or if light editing is needed to make the product presentable. Think Amazon.com when you are buying something it needs to look professional and not dirty or have background flaws, hence the light editing.
- Do they need to know how to use Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator etc.? We will not be using those programs, though experience in those would be helpful as it would carry over when paying attention to details.
- Are you open to any background, or strictly photography majors/graduates? Any background
- Will this be a full-time or part-time job? What are the hours? Any weekend work or overtime? Full-time. Standard daytime hours ~8 am-430pm (w/a half-hour lunch). Flexible a bit and open to discussion. No weekend work or overtime.
- How soon are we looking to hire? How soon will the project wrap up / what's the expected timeline for project completion? End of May/early June would be fine. We have tens of thousands of parts to photograph (30 parts per day x 5 days = 150 parts per week x 52 weeks = 7,800 parts per year).
