Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Houston, TX or Greenville, SC
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate structural and multi-disciplined engineering projects, covering all phases from planning to construction, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards such as International Building Code, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318.
- Perform detailed structural analyses including seismic, wind, and foundation design using advanced skills in RISA and STAADPro software.
- Oversee preparation and review of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. Utilize expertise in steel structures, concrete structures, and dynamic analysis to enhance design accuracy and integrity.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to engineering teams, leveraging experience in various roles including Discipline Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager, to promote project accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents to ensure all specifications meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen, willing to work in Houston, TX or Greenville, SC
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; a Masters or Doctorate degree is advantageous.
- Over 10 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on nuclear facilities, well-versed in EPC project environments across various industries such as pharmaceutical, industrial, and government projects.
- Professional Engineer License is preferred; Engineer in Training with active pursuit of licensure is acceptable.
- Proficient in computer-aided drafting and engineering software including RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, and STAAD Pro.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills, capable of leading project discussions and presenting technical information clearly.
Position Requirements:
- Strong teamwork capabilities, able to lead and integrate well with multidisciplinary teams.
- Must pass a background investigation and drug screening as required by the Department of Energy.
