Engineering Manager – US 

 

About the Role:

The Steam Turbine Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of steam turbine repair projects, including planning, execution, and supervision of field service activities, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·        Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

·        Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in steam turbine engineering, design, or related field, with demonstrated leadership experience.

·        Strong technical knowledge of steam turbine systems, including design principles and performance analysis.

·        Experience with engineering software tools such as CAD, CAE, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for steam turbine design and analysis.

·        Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

·        Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within budget and schedule constraints.

·        Familiarity with relevant industry standards, and quality management systems related to steam turbine engineering.

·        Willingness to travel to client sites and attend industry conferences as needed.

·        Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement repair procedures, methodologies, and best practices to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Review project specifications, technical requirements, and scope of work to develop engineering deliverables, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
  • Oversee all shop and onsite repairs and component manufacturing to ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Support field service engineers and providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of repair and maintenance tasks in the field, including disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and alignment of steam turbine components.
  • Coordinate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for steam turbine repair projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that all repair activities meet safety regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and manufacturing, to develop steam turbine solutions that meet client needs and project objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to sales and business development teams during client meetings, project proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives to enhance service delivery and profitability.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in steam turbine technology, repair techniques, and industry trends to continuously improve the company's capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials, components, and equipment required for steam turbine projects.
